The Caffeine War

Today is my first day of caffeine free living. I usually start each morning with some type of energy drink or coffee followed by 2 maybe even 3 cans of soda (don't worry they are always diet).
I usually buzz around for a couple of hours and by lunch I am snoring on my desk and forget being able to sleep at night.

So last night I decided "NO MORE CAFFEINE"! I have already downed 1 liter of water and I'm feeling pretty good.

Because I am such an addict,I anticipate mood swings and headaches. Yes Justin, these mood swings are in addition to...

Isn't it scary that you can become so dependant upon something and not even realize it. It's going to be tough because I love Coke but who knows I may even lose that last few pounds Ive been working on.

Really, Is he serious? Really?

I have never been very political, lets just be real, I've only been old enough to vote for one election but the older I get I have come to realize I am definitely a conservative. There is nothing worse than a raging liberal but with all of that aside I think that Americans need to know the severity of the situation if Barack Obama is elected President of the United States. This morning my sister emailed a link from youtube of Obama actually saying during a speech that he had visited 57 stated in the U.S. and really hopes to visit Alaska and Hawaii. Let's see that would make um...59 states. WOW!
I am terrified for the free world...absolutely terrified. Below is also an email that I received. Just one more reason to vote for McCain and Pailin in November!!!

Obama explains why he doesn't salute the US Flag
Obama 'explains' I sure hope this gets around before Nov.!!!On Sat, 22 Mar 2008 18:48:04 -0400, 'LTG Bill Ginn' USAF ret. forwarded the following: Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over t he heart.
'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides,' Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.'
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president!! I, for once, am speechless. He has absolutely NO pride in this country!!!!! This is outrageous!!!! He doesn't deserve to be dogcatcher!!! (Oh, sorry dogcatchers, I mean you no disrespect.) LET'S SEND THIS CLOWN DOWN THE ROAD KICKING ROCKS!!!! Forward this to EVERYONE YOU KNOW

Oh How Desperate!

You love being the center of attention and who can blame you? Life was meant to be lived and you believe in grabbing it by the reins and not letting go. If other people take offense, you know its just because they don't have the guts to go after what they really want. Wouldn't life be so much simpler if people were just honest with themselves?

October already?

Don't forget that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I love the fall and last week I think I may have gotten a little over excited at the first crispness in the air. I actually believed that it may be "chilley" this past Saturday and I couldnt wait to be outside tailgaiting in the cool crisp weather, however, the one day I plan to do an outdoor activity was the hottest day of the week, clocking in at a mere 84 degrees. Im just one of those people that if it's fall its fall...not summer. Plus I love sweaters and turtlenecks and all of my favorite days are in the fall/winter season. Halloween,Thanksgiving, Chirstmas, Jack's Birthday, Our wedding anniversary,Laney's Birthday etc...

I just cant wait to see my breath.

Weekend Recap

The Davis bunch had a wonderful weekend. Jack recently stared "school" in August so we attended his first fall carnival. They had cotton candy and "jump things" as Jack call the inflatables, games...just all kinds of goodies. Laney Grace had alot of fun too. She even tried to go swimming in the "pick a duck" pool. She is too too cute.
Face painting was also fun. Jack chose an A for Alabama because we choose to raise him right. Laney liked the lady bug and was so still while they painted. Jack of course had to scratch his face so his art only lasted about 5 minutes. We had to literally drag Jack away kicking and screaming, but we were able to buffer the fit with Mexican Pood! One of his faves.
Hannah and I decided to take a girls trip downtown and met four gigantic rats in the parking lot....ABSOLUTELY disgusting. Hannah swears one was wearing a crown.

Saturday was, yes, GAME DAY! ROLL TIDE! We had a couple of friends over for the game and ordered pizza and ate too much! Typical. How about the Tide just killing the Bulldogs...what a great game.

Sunday was kinda lazy. We strolled the babies through the Galleria, Jack got some kind of Football man and Laney a Princess (Cinderella) Barbie. I ran into my dear friend Michelle...of whom I don't see near enough and caught up with her over ice cream. She is so funny. I love listening to her stories. Then it was home again home again to watch the season premier of Desperate Housewives...LOVE that show.
Who knows what this weekend will bring. Hopefully some cooler weather!
